Is this a pic of John (GXP V) and his wife or Walter Matthau and Sophia Loren?

Ssei, I think the intent of the thread may have been missed, and with , here it is. The thread is about the movie grumpy old men, ice fishing and finding a beautiful woman later. In life. If you get bored, go rent the movie, you might like it. Also, the movie takes place in minnesota, which is where I am, and was last night drinking and the thought came to me about GXP......

Well Said. John'* just has a way of delivering when "encountered"
SOFTIES??? WTF are you drinkin???
Softies? Newbs got issued the M16E1 when I went over for lack of A1'*. The seasoned guys would laff as they told us "you'll be alright.....they were only carried once and never fired. It was kind of a "rite of passage" to whip an ARVN'* *** (South Vietnamese) and tradeup rifles with him(M16A1). It didn't take long isolated in the jungle for most of us really have given up hope of coming home to a life just out of high school. All we had left was an skittish anger that we wanted to make all around us experience as well. It'* all we had left and lost morality for either side. My Platoon was about us, nothing or nobody else. I feel some PTSP coming on here. Softie? We got showered with Agent Orange and left pucking on our knees more than once. Came back skin and bones from the malnutrition of living on WWII/Korean rats. Slept on the ground every night and never the same spot. We ate cold canned 20YO Spaghetti and Lima Beans/Ham and only smoked during the rainstorms to avoid being detected. We lived a living hell without media interference or accountability where we were instructed "if it runs, shoot it" and "to knife framers rather than shoot them because it was more demoralizing so the survivors wouldn't harbor the Cong the next time" Firefights became like a video game you mastered or got left behind......... Softie? You got to wake up in the early morning to the insane roar of napalm being ignited, then make your way through the charred jungle occasionally smelling a roasted meat smell that at first made your hunger pangs exited until reality slapped you in the face and reminded you it was prolly burnt human flesh. Go polish the trinkets on your Class A deskboy.
