Ahh. Thats what I get for not comming in here all day!
YES! I live & work in Philly!
What are you into?
As far as night life goes.. I'm all over from dive bars, trendy dark beer hipster places, loungey expensive places, to clubs etc.
If you stay away from southwest and north Philly you'll be alright. We do have a ton of shootings though..

You're about 25 minutes out from Philadelphia ( SSEi time)
any other Bonne expect a 30 minute ride
Philadelphia is cold but theyre calling for warm temps until thursday night...bring a jacket. I work in Bensalem PA and Route 1 (roosevelt BLVD) is not my best friend because yes, traffic jams....everywhere. either travel real early in the morning or real late at night.
Doylestown is a nice place, enjoy.

Traffic jams. x3
I live in the Northeast and work in the southern most part of Philly.
If I leave at 5:30 in the morning it takes me a 1/2 hour to get to work. If I leave anywhere from 6:30-8 it takes an hour.
There are some very nice houses in Doylestown. Definintely one of the nicer areas.

I haven't been to Philly in a really long time so I'd be up for meet sometime; wish I could make that yard run w/Geoff. Watching Geoff hit the yard is like watching a master at golf.

One tip, avoid I-76 between the turnpike and Philly anytime near rush. I don't have that option in the truck, so I've got plenty of experience with first gear in a 12spd truck...
BTW, stay out of Camden, murder capitol of the world...
Other than that, it'* a really neat city to bang around in. Make sure to get a cheesesteak...

Traffic is crazy, and the only part I've ever been to, I felt I had to wash my hands every five minutes lol. But I've heard there is a lot to do, and I'm sure there'* some nicer areas to it. Only been there once. Once I entered philly, it took me a half hour to move 10 miles due to traffic lol. I just shot over via turnpike (which was smooth... cept for anything past the booths).
I like how people cross solid lines and try to push you out of the way. I took the gf'* car... and had some kind of Aston Martin roadster try to push me out of the way. Heh... it didn't work.
