well, we just had someone try to break into our house. i didnt hear it or anything cuz im a deep sleeper, but they cut the screen and we assume they were trying to get to my moms laptop that was close to the window, my dad heard it and screamed at the guy and he ran off, but seriously, this is lame. now my family is all scared and ****, but they wont do anything about security but yeah, story of the night.
so now we've got the house barracaded and my parents have a bat in their room
i really hate ****** stupid people somedays

I remember once when I was young, my moms car got broken into and someone tried to steal it. I remember the feelings and thoughts then, and I can only imagine how much worse it would be to have someone break into your home, it would be very unsettling for sure.
More and more people seem to lack a proper conscience these days. I'm glad to hear that the situation was resolved without injury to you and your family.

Thanks. Yeah, i think this is just going to be a rude awakening for my family. My sister is scarred to **** right now and really pissing me off. But i cant really blame her i guess. Ill post some pics of the slash(es) tomorrow. :(

Sorry to hear about this. That would drive me nuts too. And, I can not imagine how my wife would have reacted.

Or an alarm system.... I agree with the gun approach, (Especially a double barrel)... one thing about getting broken into is it'* a long time before you get over that 'feeling'. An alarm system gives ya back some of your peace of mind.
Also motion sensor lights if ya can.
