As crappy as that is, are they really guilty of a crime? They submitted the bill, and the gov't paid it. It'* not the contractor'* fault the gov't had a no-oversight system in place.
If the surviving sister saved a bit of that money for a good lawyer (and depending on the wording of the contract, of course), I think she could walk.

I don't know how to lean on this one. I'll sit on the fence for now. Part of me says "way to go girls! stick it to the man!" Another part of me says "WTF?! Those are my tax dollars, and that is funding crucial to troops in war! Execute them!"

Shame on them for ripping off our tax dollas.
I agree it'* kind of funny to "stick it to the man", but that'* our money.
It is a darn shame that they got away with it for so long. I understand the quick processing and all, but c'mon.

I was referring more-so to them exploiting the government. Making them look even worse off than we knew them to be from the get-go.
Why? Well.... you can PM me if you want my reasoning behind it. I won't start putting subject matter into this that could result in a politcal flame fest and get the thread locked.
Good find on the story, Travis
