I occasionally go on this site to look at cars and I came upon this thread about some guy wanting to make his Altima 600 hp. Now yes it is rediculous(???) but instead of calmly and politely tell this guy that it is an unreasonable goal they started ripping the poor kid apart calling him a moron (that was one of the nicer things) It just made me appreciate this form that much more and how the people involved are actually mature and can respectfully tell somebody when they have an idea that isn't well thought out. I look at the people there and just shook my head instead of teaming up with fellow import owners they are flaming their own. Now people can be dumb from time to time but there is a way of going about telling someone that they have a bad idea, yeah this is a rant but it made me appreciate bc that much more.

Yeah, it'* kind of sickening how some people get online, ain't it?

That'* the same reason I joined up and support this club. People kindly sharing advice, and joking around without getting snippy with each other.

They are out there...but not necessarily for cars. This forum is great (and you guys are very friendly and fun), but the forum that holds the title in my mind of the nicest forum ever is the Berretta (firearm, not car) forum. Those guys are the nicest bunch of people I have ever met. One guy had his house broken into and someone stole all his guns along with everything else of value, and the guys on the forum got together and bought him a brand new carry gun that was better than what he had before (it cost them almost $1000.00!).

Now that is community! Though I can picture something like that happenning here, under the right circumstances.

I've seen the same thing Hailey. The firearm forums are almost ALL like this. You never find a hot-head there. Pretty responsible people

As far as this place and this thread are concerned.....are you people STUPID? Cmon, really! Posting about how polite we are, like a bunch of old ladies sitting around a hair salon. You people make me SICK! And a 600 hp Altima! Ratmfan, you probably want to do that!

I'm not very good at this flaming thing, am I?

What year was that Altima? I'd say it'* doable if it'* the 3.5 V6... But the older 2.4L in my '98 can't take very much more than the stock 150

This forum should pool together and buy be a new car. Yeah.

Hey hey now thats not cool, comon now will, besides what makes you think I would want to do that to an Altima????? I actually have realistic goals thank you very much, and if you are angry that we are "polite" well then maybe we should change the way this form is written how about from now on any newbie questions or other dumb question we will call the people f^%&ing idiots and ban them from the forum

I am not very good at the flaming thing either

I agree...this forum is pretty argument free from at least what I've observed...and I don't even think I was called a "moron" when I had put my scoops on last year. I still took them off though
