Yea, definately take his Ipod. And maybe entertainment system, television, computer, bike.

That'll teach him.

And if not... he'd better watch out next time.

I would take the ipod back and then take the boy to the copshop and show them the forged check. Let the chips fall where they may.

I can't stand a liar, thief, or a cheat!!!

thats exactly what i would like to do. but i have to think of my wifes feelings. and the fact that he is still on probation , he would almost certainly go back to a youth home. the worst part about that is the fact that we have custody and we would have to pay the $150 PER DAY ! for his stay. his dad got stuck with the bill for his last stay. same loser who has not paid one cent in child support in 5 months. supposed to pay $300 per month. damn i think i could wear this keyboard out typing all the crap about this soap opera ! :o

well, put him in military school. Your wife should be more outraged than you. If my son did this to me I would personally do what I posted earlier. I have no tolerance for a son that would take from me and/or my husband (if I had one at the time). My son would feel safer behind bars than to be where I could reach him if he EVER thought about stealing from me!!!

AS for his deadbeat dad I'd have his *** in court so fast his head would spin.
Once I went and filed my own custody papers, served my ex, and got full custody with supervised visitation. I don't play when it comes to crap like that. It only cost me $10 and that was it.

Don't forget that once he knows you're this 'soft' he'll only push harder the next time to see where the line really gets drawn.

Definitely let your wife know your opinion and that you'll support whatever decision she makes; don't be upset if she goes soft on the punishment.
