Well today I scored big time. I went to a junkyard that is about a mile away and he deals mostly with older vehicles since no other yard wants them anymore. Well I went through teh entire yard and didn't find anything that was worth it. Then in his front yard was this older chevy "******* wagin" van, with the red velvet interior and all.
Well luckily it had a 305 in it and since it was a van most of the engine is inside the van( under that concole). Well luck would ahve it, there wazs a brand new ( rebuilt) carb on it. I mean inside was spotless, it didn't look like it had been used. I got it for 50$. He also had a 350 running engine but had a lifter knock. He was selling that for 200$ but I didn't jump on that one yet, since there was another guy there looking at it for his truck that he uses for work and makes $$$, so to me he needed it more than I did.
I will maybe check back during the week and if the other guy didn't take it I will get it and rebuild it, they are so hard to find these days.
So long story short, I might have a running truck within a few days ( have to fix some brake lines), and it'* getting running for cheap, lol.
