You can get plenty of cars that fast for a lower price. Will they be N/A...if they are new cars, don't count on it. If I personally were gonna buy a car similar to the GTO I would go with a '98-'02 F-body, they are faster and cheaper and are just as nice (IMO). However if you are looking for a car that just runs low 14'*, there are LOTS of other options there...my grandfather had a '70ish (don't remember exact year) Nova with a 302 Chevy in it and it ran very consistant low 12'*, it was driveable on the street (my grandfather drove it everyday because it was his only car at the time), and it only cost him like $5600 for it...so if you're looking for a fast car for cheap, a new car is definately not the way to go. I agree the GTO'* are overpriced for what they are now, but when they come out with the 400hp version I would like to know what kind of NEW car you are going to find in that pricerange (which will be a little higher with the higher power output) with that kind of power.
BTW...I drove by a Pontiac Dealer today (Todd Wenzel Pontiac in Grand Rapids, MI) and they had about 10 GTO'* sitting in the front of the lot...my guess is they aren't selling too well.

I'm not offended by opinions
Styling? I woulda done it different, but i see their point.
It'* an LS1, and it'* got IRS. Not quite as quick as an F body, but it'* one you can drive every day, and take to the auto x on the weekend and dominate.
And I love watching the Top Gear Review of it....
