Never felt as old as I do today
I just found out that one of my friends is engaged. Where does the time go? I still remember back when every boy thought, "Ew, girls." Then, in middle schoola and high school, casual girlfriends. Late high school and the time between graduation and college, serious girlfriends. Now engagement, before I know it everyone will be getting married. I suppose 20 years isn't a long time, but it definitely feels like it.

Oh I SO know how you are feeling. Over break, I found out two engagements and in the next two years, I'm in two weddings. And everyone is within a year of my age. It'* crazy, when did we grow up?

You think that is bad. It feels like only a couple years ago I met Renée. It has been about 10.5 years we are together. Don't ask when the wedding is, that is another story for another time, lmfao.

I actually have a psychological problem with "speeding time". It runs on my dad'* side of the family. Its due to having a very strong long term memory that causes memories from 10 years ago to seem like a yaer ago for a normal person. For me it started at puberty and gets more and more scary every year. Last summer was known as the summer that never was. It feels like this winter is just a continuence of last. I started getting nightmares this fall waking up 50 years old with tons of regrets. Usually the next day I am all paranoid and impatient and usually wind up drinking.
