My most recent pair finally died after taking damage for over 3 years, so point me in the right direction people.

http://www.plantronics.com I have one of their heaadsets. Pretty good stuff. But don't buy online. We dropped them here due to never having anything in stock. I know CompUSA and Microcenter carry their stuff.

Yeah, Sennheiser'* are beautiful 'phones, if you don't mind the extra expense.
Have you tried one of the ambient-noise-blocking 'phones out there? BOSE makes a terrific pair, not sure on price, though.

Watch out with Plantronics, their headsets are quite fragile and break easily.
My first Plantronics headset broke (top of the line for its age, it looked just like the Audio90) after about a year. Microphone stopped working, and the wiring inside the volume control AND the headset AND the microphone were badly worn and falling apart, causing audio only in one ear. The mike doesn't work, but the audio was since fixed. I'm currently using it in my room as a nice sounding pair of headphones.
My second Plantronics headset (audio 90) broke last week; the microphone totally stopped working. I got it last August.
My third Plantronics headset. Also an Audio 90, free, thanks to the 1-year warranty.
All this after taking proper care of all three headsets: no abuse.
This is what I have:
I'm just advising about some quality issues that they have. They sound awesome, though.
Plus, the price of the Audio90 on their site is $55.95. I got mine at Future Shop for $40. Regular Price. Canadian. Don't know what they're smoking
