Well, my mom calls me a few days ago, and tells me "Hey, the neighbor has a 199(?) Eagle Vision TSi that won't pass emissions test, she is giving it away, do you want it?" Now with me living in nice and salty NE Ohio, I am kinda refusing to drive the Bonne in the winter because it is literally rust free, so my question is, would it make a good winter car while the Bonne is parked for the winter? If anyone is wondering, it has had a new transmission already, new fuel pump, Fuel filter, cat, and tune up, but the CEL is still on which leads me to believe its a O2 sensor. Who knows, maybe it will be a good score for free. I am not sure of the mileage at the time, but I will find out. It has the 215hp 3.5 24v V6. Pretty much she told my mom if no one wants it, its going to the junkyard. So.. opinions?

Tell her you want it and then give it to me
Seriously, for free, you might as well give it a shot.
IIf it costs to much to fix, then you get rid of it.
As far as a good winter beater, if the heater works then it'* a good winter ride.
Pretty much any small vehicle I have ever had have been great winter rides.
