I think I'm going to take your guys advice and stay away from the car. I don't know if I can afford it anymore. I just got a ticket for 19mph over the speed limit yesterday (stupid mistake :? ) and that might just look really bad on insurance and raise my rates unless I can get it reduced. All the mechanics I've talked to say stay away fromteh 4100 too.
I found a way better Caddy though! I had to drive to Ohio yesterday and found a '77 Coupe DeVille with 60k original miles on it in excellent condition in a small town in OH. It has the 426 and runs great. Only problem is they want $5400 and I don't have that much to spend on a car right now.
My other option is buyng a friend'* 1992 Mitsubishi GT3000 SL for a grand and fixing the bad rod in the engine.

I would also stay away from the 3000GT. I wanted one for the longest time, until I found out that the 3.0 24v in those seem to throw rods or get bottom end damage quite a bit. Plus the repairs for it will be quite costly. Last time I looked it was around $3500 for a rebuilt crate engine.

hmmm....seems all the cars I like are a headache to repair, lol. When you say repairs will be quite costly do you mean major repairs or things like brake work and common things?

Haha, no, it'* an SL. I think I'm going to buy it though. If all goes well I'll have a new job and be making more money within a month or so, so I should have the money to fix it.
