I haven't been able to find any positive numbers for a stock SE but those sound about right. I guess I won't embarase myself than and try to race him Looks like I may be looking into mods for the car than...and never mind that, I just remembered that would probably void the warranty...maybe in another 3 years than when the warrantys up.

Remember some other important things too...
The bonneville is a nicer car
more comfort
more room
just as safe (unless he has side air bags and u don't)
cruises at 90 with no stress
rides like a dream
and the biggest one of all..
Your foolish friend is eating the depreciation on a new car and your not ! His car will be worth half what he paid for it by next year.
That'* my 2 cents, and probably not worth that.

^^ What he said plus I think your Bonne will beat a G6 with just the 3500. The determining factor is your gear ratio. If you have the 2.87 you will be beat, if you have the 3.05 you should beat him.

Yeah, your right on all those facts, and then he'* leasing w/a $231/month payment and then has to pay 13 grand if he wants to buy the car when the lease is up and it won't even be worth that much then.
How do I figure out what gear ratio I have? I mean it'* an SE but I have most of the SLE options that apparently the first owner ordered.
Will the mods that fantastic88 mentioned give me a decent improvement in power for a decent price? I just put a new filter in yesterday and was looking at the air box and thinking of gutting it but not quite sure if i'd do it right. I just know that the dealer said not to use a K&N filter because it would mess with some sensor and actually get me worse gas mileage :? Not sure if thats right but I bought the stock filter at Napa.

Re: NA Bonne VS G6 GT
Anyways... theoretically who would win a in a race between a G6 GT coupe and a 2000+ N/A Bonneville? The G6 has more horsepower but the Bonne'* got more torque I believe.
Just curious so I thought I'd post this and see if anybody has some input. I'd hope the Bonneville!

Oh and FYI my 2000 SSEi did 15.8 (stock) last year on the track during the Ohio meet before any mods were done to the car. So there'* your benchmark.

Leslie..get my number..we gotta talk and stop that 'um" stuff.
Brad...your Maxx got its butt handed to it by a 95 SE at the track. How do you figure it'll take an 00 SE? I know ....cause I was driving the SE and you know Don wasn't egging me on to whoop up on the lil white car.

Boost....remember that passenger I had? SHE was the bottleneck, not the car itself And I didn't say it could take it...I said it could hold its own against it.
