Part of me agrees, but most of me disagrees. I use myspace a lot. most of my acting group is on there, it'* how we all stay in touch. We send postings abotu partys, other events, etc. What it comes down to is you will get out of it what you put in. If you have a reason for it, it'* a good tool. But if you make an account for the sake of making an account, you'll get nothing. I've been with myspace for a long time, and have had no problems, found a few old friends, and made a few new ones.

Dont ask me for help, I don't remember what I did any more. It'* rather straight forward.

I'd honestly have to say that spending a lot of time on an internet forum is more of a sign of a lack of social interaction than myspace is. I also use it to keep up with friends that have gone off to college, or friends I already have in general. I don't find it to be a replacement for in-person social interaction at all.

I don't think myspace is too bad of a thing if you don't put to much of your personal information on there. I don't put my number, place of work, email address or anything like that on there obviously. Like others have said i have found some pretty good bands through there. It'* also nice for communicating with co-workers i'm not really close enough to want to call and keeping up with old friends from HS. I like facebook a lot more anyways. It seems like a lot of people who didn't grow up in the internet age fear the unknown evils associated with internet predators, whereas those of us who did grow up around the internet realize they are out there and (should be) more intelligent about the information they put out on websites like that.

I'm not online all the time. I just wanted to give my page a little pizzazz instead of what it looked like.
I use it just to chit chat with current and former co-workers and friends.
I HAVE a life.
