I HATE Cadillacs. I work on at least 2 a day. PINA !!! But, most of them I see have 200K+ on the odemeter. Those 4.9'* sound pretty good with a turbo style muffler on them too.

The 4.9 is more reliable and less troublesome than the Northstar, but it is not a powerhouse.
Peak torque comes at a higher rpm, and is not flat. Very peaky.
It was designed to deliver smooth power in a land yacht driven by old people.
