My new car...
...is a piece of poo.
Well, my dad has decided to buy a third family car, seeing as I will be needing one. But it'* not a Bonnie. It'* not even a Pontiac. It is a car so lame it doesn't even know what a Pontiac is.
You guessed it, a Civic. A Civic!!! Of all things! How am I supposed to look cool in that? How am I supposed to waste the ricers that go to my school???
At least it'* silver and not terribly old. But still! What have I done to deserve this???
What am I gonna do now? :"c

Which model do you have? EX(top of the line, for a Honda) LX or DX. My friend got a 03 Civic EX, I wasnt all that impressed with the car. For the amount he spent he should have got the spoiler, and alloy wheels. My other buddy got a 03 Sentra, spent a lot less and got all the goodies. Wheels, spoiler, 7 speaker sound...

Sorry to hear that, but as they said, go sell it and buy a bonne ... Either way stick around cause weve never seen anyone try and fit Bonneville headlight/foglights and/or trim on a civic... wannna be the first to try? Or even better take the whole civic drivetrain out and smash a 3800 of some sort under there when you get some $$.... then you can be all cool with the ricers cause you have so many bulges in your front end THn you go waste um with true 3800 power... hehehe The transplant availabilities are endless

Well, uh, unlike a Bonnie, the Civic wasn't really meant to be a performance car (damn ricers won't get the point ) However, on the other hand, a Civic can be modifed to be one. It'll involve a motor swap, however
The Civic, will, on the other hand, give you
- fuel economy
- low running costs
- reliability
- 100% of the power you need for everyday driving, but not much of the power you want is the difference
For a first car, I sure as hell wouldn't mind a new Corolla or Sentra, those things are plenty zippy when fitted with a manual... :P

I don't actually have a Bonnie yet, nor did we ever. So my strange, unremitting obsession with Bonnevilles is very odd indeed.
I dunno what type of Civic it is (Dad hasn't brought it home yet) but it'* a '97 silver one with a manual transmission. The other cars we have are a 97 subaru legacy outback and a 2001 Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer. I like driving the Subaru but I hate the Explorer. The thing sucks.
Dad says he'll sell the Civic to me for 6,000. But I have a little under 3,900 right now. Truth is, I don't want that thing. I think I'll just keep saving religiously and buy a 97 or 98 Bonne SSEi and mod it out to fit my taste.
Just goes to show you can take the girl out of the Bonnie but you can't take the Bonnie out of the girl. ha! I WILL have my dream car. If I'm all old and crusty by that time, so be it!
