Default my cell phone took a swim

it fell in lake porcelain yesterday

I just got this like 2 months ago and I really like it. its a Motorola W385
no insurance I believe (my work pays for it) but will check with acct. payable today.


any tips on trying to bring her back to life.

Lake Porcelian? hahah! Hopefully there were no kids swimming in that lake. :P

I've heard removing the battery and SIM card and letting it dry out works wonders.

yup.... dont turn it on for like three days.. use a hairdryer and let it air dry
had pager do that once... battery and simm card out...
also had a computer flooded out... luckily the HD wasnt wet
but had to do similar with it too and replace the battery in it

And Jim, no matter how swim crazy your cell phone may seem, swimming in the porcelin lake is never a good idea

Leaving it in uncooked rice can help take away the moisture.

there was NO swimmers in the lake at the time.
