Maybe I don't know what I am talking about, but isn't hacking changing the code....obviously this excludes open source. I think that is exactly what you did though....changed the code.

its not that the phone wasnt supposed to have different ringtones, its that the current software on the phone didnt allow downloading new ringtones... if although u may call it a hack(which is very close to the proper term) the most accepted term is unlocked

I prefer 'hack'..... it just sounds cooler.... and the definition fits.
BTW.... anyone got a good MIDI editor?
(I need to edit a 'Knight Rider' midi file.... hehe)
