I'll throw a few more names out there: The Mars Volta (or their previous incarnation At the Drive-in), Clutch, Rage Against the Machine, Grammatrain, Elton John, Candiria, Botch, Less than Jake, Catch 22, Alkaline Trio, the list could go on and on!

Lol, yeah I forgot the name of this thread was "Metal/Hard Rock." My bad.
Nice to see someone with similar tastes... you like complex music that makes you think a little bit, and you keep your car boost-free. Good form. You should definitely check out The Mars Volta if you haven't already. It'* At the Drive-In on a whole new level. Same singer and some of the same musicians. If you want to hear the other half of the former At the Drive-In, check out Sparta. But I think you'll agree that The Mars Volta is above and beyond most bands in contemporary music. They even got Flea from the Chili Peppers to play bass for the album. You might need to listen to the CD 10 times before you "get" it. I know I did. Warning to others who read this post: you might check out a Mars Volta song and think it sucks. It'* definitely not for everyone.
Sorry for the lengthy discourse. Carry on.
EDIT: Oh yeah. I forgot to mention Deftones in my first post. They've changed direction recently, but the opening riff to "My Own Summer" will go down as one of the best in the history of metal. If you haven't heard it, by all means find a copy and listen to it!

Wow you guys rock! Here are most of my bands:
Fear Factory, Chimaira, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Theatre of Tragedy, Demon Hunter, Pantera/Damage Plan, Hatebreed, Sepultura, Lollipop Lust Kill, Nothingface, Korn (lol). Yea I guess mostly Nu-Metal stuff but I like it and it keeps me goin on the road. Oh and Cradle of Filth is waaay too satanic for me.
