Looking for blue tooth

On a related note, a friend of mine that does IT heard from a colleague who was walking through a local high school football stadium during a game that most of the Bluetooth phones were unsecured and had pictures of the boy'* girlfriends. Almost all the boys had naked pictures of their girlfriends that anyone could see.

Yeah there'* scams that people set up for that kind of stuff too. Certain phones have the capability to use bluetooth enabled cells as remotes to call through the phones, so they will call an 800 charge-by-minute number that they have signed up to their own bank accounts so while the phones are in passerby'* pockets, they're connected and thus giving the conman cash.

Moral of the story -- keep your bluetooth disabled when not in use or at least disable sharing of your phone'* abilities/pictures. You could also password protect most phones too, i believe.

public wifi is very insecure also, but you see people logging into their banks at unsecured wifi hotspots in coffe shops, etc. they have no idea how easy it is to access that information.
