awww....she looks like a dog I had when I was a kid....his name was Ralph. He was a mutt...no clue on the breed. But he liked to ride the dirt bikes with us and climb ladders to the roof. He was strange.

Cute dog, hope you find the owners. As a dog and cats owner i don't think it'* really fair to displace the cats who have lived with you and your GF far longer than the dogs been in your life. Maybe take the dog to a no destroy shelter and pick up another that gets along with cats....just my opinion

Yeah... That'* not really cool to force her to dump the cats because you like the stray dog. That'* actually a bunch of ****. The dog will learn to either get along with the cats, or IT moves out. Rest assured, I would never dump my cat for anyone, especially so some stray sonuvabitch can move in. That'* like your boss walking up to you and saying "I hired this guy who doesn't like you just last week, so you're fired."

When I say "get rid of", I mean for them to become outdoor cats, not get rid of completely. None are declawed, and she has been taking two of them out for yard "walks".
The cats are starting to get used to her. Our black cat hissed all night at her the first night, last night the dog was all up in her face and she didn't do anything. The other two still have some adjusting to do.
Still nobody has come forward yet, and Roxie has already kinda settled into her new digs. She seems rather intelligent, but a short attention span. Likes to just lay there on her back, waiting for someone to rub her belly...not much of a runner or a player.

On the subject of them not getting along; I just recently added a Shitzhu Poodle mix to the family, and we had a big, fat black cat before him. He liked her, and just screwed with her all the time but boy she couldn't STAND him at first. She hissed and was mean as hell. Then after about a week or two, they became friends and started playing together and even sleeping next to each other. Just give them some time to acclimate, they'll be fine.

We rescued our dog Callie from the Humane Society 7 months ago and none of my (3) cats had ever seen a dog before. We picked her because she was good with kids and cats and although it'* taken about 5 months they all get along fine now. So in time your cats and dog should all become good friends. Glad your not getting rid of them Sand...

What a sweetie!!
On the cats thing... I got a doberman pinscher over the summer while living with my sister.. and her cat... The cat was really pissy for about a week, and my puppy had to learn that cats aren't dogs, but by the end of the summer they were playing together!
