Chris, I work 10-12 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week at my job, and I'm very much trusted to get my work done. I'm never questioned because I consistently produce quality work in a timely manner. And consistently rank as the #1 person in my department for the last 3 years in a row, which is why I still have a job. So the fact that I surf BC from work is really no concern of yours.

However, if offensive material were seen on my PC, it would be the end for anyone at a company like I work for. There is zero tolerance for offensive material at hp.

It'* not quite that simple. People get breaks at work and some choose to take that time to catch up on a little bit of BC. The biggest issue isn't getting in trouble, it'* getting fired. I can fully understand where people are coming from when they complain about not being warned in advance about offensive material. When posting something that may even REMOTELY be considered offensive, it should have a "NSFW" or "Not safe for work" tagged on the subject. Nothing more, nothing less. Visiting clean message boards on a break at work is often considered acceptable. Vulgar images or language, however, is not. Trust me on that.

The point is that threads like this should be identified regradless. Some people do have the chance to get on BC at work. It'* possible to get in trouble (Hans got yelled at) for material like this, or often worse material. This isn't the only reason to identify such threads with warnings though, so it'* best to always identify topics that could be interpreted as offensive by anyone.
