Well the truth is - job hunting is a pain in the butt. So you do have to decide what kind of work you want, you DO need a job that will pay at least enough to get by. Most people struggle with cash, it is a fact of life, no matter how much one makes.

But you also want to have some fun and a life outside of job hunting so here are a few suggestions -
Make an effort to meet new people and make new friends. Do not give me the "shy" excuse. Get out there now! Just be careful of the ladies, I have a new woman friend and she acts more like she is my wife of many years than a neighbor/friend.
It is easy meeting new people. Comment nicely about someone'* car. That will get them talking.

Learn a new hobby that doesn't drain your wallet. Modding your car is fun but expensive. So do something like learn a new language. CFlearly you should learn French as it is the best language out there. That is what I do. C'est cette langue que j'aime bien. After making new friends, you may not have time.

Find clubs in your area that have hours for under 21 [I assume you are under 21]. That may be a good place to find a lady friend who will keep you company while draining your pipes AND your wallet .

If you take the hobbies option like learning something new yet inexpensive - look up stuff in the library and maybe you will think - "Yeah I always wanted to speak French/learn how cars work/learn how computers work/more about psychology...

Damnit man, you have got to open up and devour life like this is the only one you will ever have.

Sorry to hear that things aren't going so well.

How about this => scholarships?

For all of the time I spent working while in HS, and I was doing independent computer repair at 50 bux an hour ('bout 10-15 hours per week), I think that I could've earned MORE if I just hunted for scholarships!

Just something to consider. You can do it, you've already proven that you have the drive since you excel at your present work.

Heh, you're talking about the Columbus area. There are no good clubs around, or at least any that I know of.

That may actually be to your advantage! You better believe there is some rich dude out there who was once in your situation. I just did a search for "scholarship ADD" and several links emerged!

The financial aid possibilities are endless. Loans, grants for poor folks, any college will be more than happy to explain the options. ADD or not, there is financial help.

Uness you have drug charges or other felonies, financial aid is easy to come by. BUT - use it wisely. Don't party and **** it away. PLAN!

And also, what language was that? I know only French.

The basic thing Ive learned in my time is that life is what you make of it. Im 22 and have gone from complete **** up to a place in life that I happen to enjoy. I was makin some good money at a stop n rob for a while just after I turned 18 but the job sucked. Went through other crappy jobs and a couple of good ones until I landed myself unemployed for about 6 months and several people here can tell you how depressing that is. I moved back in with my parents which sucked even more. Basicly I was in a similar situation as youre in now, I HATED my life. A female friend of mine kinda sat me down and let me have it to the point I was completely pissed off with her but the words hit home. I got up and landed myself a fairly good job. Low paying but completely enjoyable. All you gotta do is sit down and figure out what you want from life. Have a friend help you if you can as they have a different preception of how things really are. Just remember, life sucks if you arent doing stuff that makes you happy. So figure that out for yourself and get to it. Keep your head up, life sucks all around but you can make it seem better by focusing on the better things rather than the crappy if your situation is something you are comfortable with. Its hard work but it will pay off in the long run.

I agree life is what you make of it, get out and be a little out going. As I've said b4 "I'm my own worse enemy" You’re in the Columbus Area? I'm often in the Columbus area just chillaxin'; we could kick it. Send me a pm I'd be more then happy to shoot down to hang out & meet more members. As for your weight you need a friend who will push you to exercise. My best friend since 1st grade has always been over weight big line backer in high school and now plays in an intramural football league. But I still get on him about his weight once and awhile and I get him motivated we’ll go biking or lifting or hell just hiking up river fishing (a matter a fact we call each other official fishing buddies) You gotta enjoy working out or you’ll never stick to the routine. Keep your head up.

Take care

The only club you need in columbus is OSU! There are plenty of cute girls there. I know my ex goes there (and I've seen her roommate )

Hey bud, head over to www.myrichuncle.com and check out what it would take to get a student loan. Want something that doesn't involve going to college? Check out some kind of school that teaches you a trade or technical position. Heck, come down to AirSafety and learn to be a pilot, then head off to a regional airline or cargo operation and make your money flying around at 400mph. You've got options... just do some investigating and don't limit yourself. You could even start some kind of E-business or Ebay store if you can figure out something that will sell. You'll figure it out
