Leonid Meteors (tonight)
See the Leonid Meteors Nov. 18: Every November, Earth passes through a trail of dust and debris from the Comet Tempel-Tuttle. When these particles enter the atmosphere, they create the Leonid meteors. This year, there could be a big burst of up to 150 meteors over one or two hours the night of Nov. 18.
When and Where to Watch: People in eastern North America could see the burst of meteors starting at 11:45PM ET tonight Lower meteor activity will occur a few nights before and after.
So open up your sunroofs (or get out) and take a look upward. Hopefully this year'* show is a good one!
