Leland Robert Andre is Home... (YAY)
At 1039pm tonight our little man Leland arrived vie C section. Weighing in at 5 lbs 1.2oz'* in what seemed an eternity he was breathing 100% room oxcygen. Mom is now recovering. They even brought Leland into see her on his way to NICU. I got to touch him and take some pictures. Will try to get them up tomorrow. He is in good hands and I will go into see him when I get back upstairs. OMFG just when we thought we were in the clear mom went into labor. And her BP got out of hand but both are doing well and they say that the breathing tube could come out in a day ot too. Ok ok gotta go.

Thanks guys. I have been going strong since 6am. Just had a quick vital check and the Dr couldn't believe I had only had 3 cups of coffee all day. I'm kinda glad I got to touch Leland in the ressecatation room I was just into see him and right now its kinda hands off. He is doing very well but is worn out from all the handling he had to get him going. It tears a guy up inside not knowing what way to go. Be with my girl or stand beside my son. Just deviding time is killing me. And what'* sleep I'm so up right now my feet haven't touched the ground. I'm going to try to get pics up in the morning. Again thanks for all of everyones kind words and thoughts you don't know how much it has meant to me and Mom. I need a beer lol.

Congratulations. Best advice I can give you is talk to the new mom....see how much she needs you to be there with her and when she is sleeping, visit your son and get some rest your self....you will be supprised how little sleep a new dad needs....besides....good way to get used to all the sleep you will be missing taking care of a new baby in the house .....take care....and enjoy your family ALWAYS.

I was in to see Leland around 430amstayed for a while. He opened his eyes as if he knew I was there with the lights dim they look blue the most beautiful blue I have ever seen. Went back in to get some rest with Mom and she was awake and like I'm doing now I lost it. I started crying partaly because I'm sad but mostly because I'm so helpless, I know that they are both in the best place they can be but there is nothing really I can do for either of them. Mom is somewhat more prepared for this as her last son was born around the same time in gestation as Leland. But it doesn't matter what the Dr'* or Nurses say to prepare you if you have never been there you have no idea. I hate seeing my son there and not being able to hold him. I hate seeing my wife there and not being able to hold her. But I do know that getting them both on there feet so we can all go home to be a family will happen.
What did it for me was when I started talking to Leland and he opened his eyes. I don't care how big of a man you set yourself out to be that'* just devistating. He'll be ok and so will mom.

Congrats...hope you're bale to get some sleep.
I understand the tears, it'* a good thing. You're a dad now, get use to those.
I have known several babies who have had babies born early and everything was fine.
Can't wait to see the pics.
