LED Flashlight..... Luxeon 3watt
I got a new LED flashlight on friday, and man its F'n bright...!!!
Its made by Task Force, Luxeon 3 watt. I got it at Lowes.. $40
It take two C cell batts.
Heres some pics of it....
-
Now this is a really cool lens.. it is shaped and molded to fit right around the LED projector lens on the LED, its really cool.
The LED...
LED on without the Lens.
LED on with the Lens
about 6 feet from a wall..
On the left is the 3watt and on the right is a 1watt
What the box looks like...
At night it is just as bright or brighter then my 6Cell Maglight..

Intersting. I have one that runs off of two AA, and one that runs off of a special 3v battery. One projects sorta far (not as good as my 2 C cell maglight) and one doesn't project far but lights up the whole area around me.
I NEED a LED flashlight that will actually project as far as a maglight.

$40 seems like a lot...but you do get what you pay for as far as flashlights go. I don't see the on/off switch...what kind of switch does it use and where is it located?

Thats a nice flashlight. I have a minimag with the 3 led conversion and 2 1w luxeon flashlights...but personally my favorite light is my 6 D-cell maglight with the magnumstar bulb. But I do like these luxeon leds they are very bright and nicley focused. Does it say how long those batteries last?
