I'm not busting on you or targeting you, even though it looks like it in this topic.....but you're a bit off base again. Every pickup in the world can light them up like that because they're very light over the rear axle. I have a friend with a Nissan 4-cyl with 200,000 miles. With his canopy off the bed, he can burn them for 15-20 feet on an automatic.

I used to carry 300lbs of sand in the summer, and 500lbs in the winter because of this same issue. I didn't have this problem with the Suburban.

For the record....it was questioned earlier in the thread...

The 350 (LS1) WAS ended after 1999 in Chevy trucks for environmental, SMOG, and fuel efficiency reasons.

On another note, the 350s are torque horses! My truck only has the 305, 5.0 litre, and it does real well, and produces close to what the 350 puts out, only with better fuel efficiency.

a Silverado 1500 which is what my uncle has with the 5.3 according to this site http://chevrolet.jbcarpages.com/Silv...004/index4.php has a 1/4 mile time of 14.8 seconds......thats pretty dang fast for a truck...
Wrong. You scrolled down too fast. That time was for the Silverado SS. The 5.3 ran a 16.8@84mph.
