Default L67 into an aurora

I sat in an aurora at the junkyard (possible option to swap seats to my 01..but wrong color) it was the last generation..it just has an SSEi-like feel.

Now I want one. Much more of a luxury interior than my SSEi.

Almost tempted to find one that needs a motor or trans and adapt an L67 drivetrain to it.....hmm.

I'd assume it would not be too hard to swap?

A guy at my AuroraClub page is working on an L67 install into the Classic Aurora. Seems to be that the pie in the sky hopes are swapping in a 4.6, but why bother, 25 extra bhp (easily achieved with a 4.0), but after that, no aftermarket.

An L67 swap into an Aurora would be a very cool project.

The 2nd gen interior is sweet, but the Classic is even more cozy.

Aside from finding the parts which would be relatively easy within the 3800 community. Do you have the resources to performer such a swap?

I've thought many times about buying a old Berretta or Celebrity and swapping in a L67. But I work in a machine shop so I can make anything I need on a manual mill/lathe or CNC in a heart beat and our master welder/fabricator in our shop is always willing to help on a cool car project. Not to mention my boss owns an auto repair business and I can use the lifts and mechanics tools as I please.
