Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Kind of makes you wonder

I hear you, theres no guarentee'* that you find anything. But think of all the times in history this could have been said, preventing good gains. (Like the quest to find China, which ended up finding North America)

Good things sometimes come from such experiments. Some unrelated to the original experiment. For example, supposedly the balls that were manufactured for this experiment were the most perfect ever made by man. Maybe that technology could be used in bearing manufacturing!

Again, I am not saying this was money that couldn't be used better somewhere else. But since its spent, I'm looking for the up side.

(truth in posting statement: My company, and yours personally, was involved in the manufacture of several components used on this satellite. Therefore, my opinion *might* be slanted. )

Hijack thread for just a moment: I like your future rims. I just went with a very similar rim from eagle. I had never heard of eagle before, but am pleased with the quality, and finish. I almost went with the same design you did, but liked both it and style 192, so tossed a coin. You'll have to post pics, as I want to see how they look on a Bonne.

This thread will now return to it'* normal programming.
