I needed shockwave installed on my computer here at work. When my sup called IS this morning to check the status on that request, they just made me an Admin on this machine. Don't know if it'* trust, laziness, or stupidity, but....

Mmmmmmm, admin rights........

while you're an admin you should make another administrator account as a back door after you get yours taken away (if you do.) There'* so much stuff you can do as an administrator.

...and there are many viruses that are written to take advantage of the Admin'* rights. I wouldn't create a seperate backdoor account.

I can't create an account, anyway. Just just admin rights to this specific machine. Evrything for creating accounts is locked out.

Hopefully they just "forget" what they did. And never move my desk....
