job ideas/help?
hey all. just getting knocked down by the job search and looking for tips, or on the off chance you know someone in the memphis area a good recommendation lol. i applied as a field tech for att, took their aptitude test at a testing center about 30 mins away, passed and have yet to hear back. got an interview as a maintenance tech at a heartland express semi dock and havent heard back. just went to a Valvoline express oil interview, they said they'd respond within the next few days after they interview more people for the 2 positions available and im not crossing my fingers considering the guy before me had a midas polo on, and ive got no verifiable experience.. ive applied at every job i think i can do, and every entry level job on monster and snagajob.com as well as craigslist, mcdonalds and bk and the other fast food joints.
just seems like i cant catch a break here and looking for tips. the one thing i miss about home was at the steel mills you could walk on site the day you turn 18 and they will fight for young guys. (talking 40k base pay with 401k and blue cross insurance as a no experience laborer)
thanks for any tips!!
