It'* Official
The kids finally got their class lists today, after a week of going to school. Jessica is in a full grade 7 class, which she is very happy about. Andrew is still deciding if he likes his teacher or not, he is in a 2/3 split, which is where I wanted him, but the teacher is not the one I wanted. But I will give it time, maybe it will be better than I thought. I probably will have to go in and help Andrew this year, but I don't mind. There are some kids who are in grade 7, but were put into a 6/7 split and they are not happy about that, to be in grade 7 here is a big deal, they have their own microwave, and a little lounge they sit it, but they had to split them because the class was too big, 33 kids . So what the school has decided to do is set up a lounge just for the grade 7'* somewhere in the school.

I have to correct myself, I said Andrew was in a 2/3 split, he is not, he is in a 3/4 split which concerns me because I do not feel he is ready for that.
John what do you mean different???
And John Deere Boy, the average grad up here is 18 years old, there are few 17 year olds, but that is only because they have late birthdays.

We live in a town with 3,600 people so traffic is not a problem, the only thing we have to worry about are the bears that walk onto the school grounds.
Things at the school are going to get a whole lot worse before they get better....next year they are most likely going to shut one of the schools down (we have two elementary schools) and combine them into one, so that means that the grade 6 and 7'* will have to be moved over to the high school :? I watched a news program and in Ontario they are building on average 30 new schools a year, and up here we (the parents) are having to fundraise to buy our children proper text books!!! Plus the past school year I think 3 schools had to close because of decreasing enrollment...and the government keeps taking away our funding....it is getting really bad here.
