One of the local Chevy dealers here has something cool I just found out about. Ok so to start out with, its a HUGE dealership, anyway, the service department is open from 7am to 12am (midnight) and thats only part of the astonishing. I talked to someone about a part for my truck and he said "Sorry, I dont have data on my computer for that year, only back to 1999, but we have all of the service manuals, for a long way back, in a publicly browsable library." I was astonished, they have Manufacturer manuals that they let the public view, and you have access to them for 19 Hours a day Wonder if thats small town (subjective 120,000 pop) service, or just the one dealers preference?

Wow! That'* amazing, I should move there. My dealer is nice to me, but not that nice.

Now that'* a dealer with a brain. I wish more dealers would realize that people who fix their own cars tend to spend more money at dealerships than those who DON'T fix their own.

ddalder told me their dealership is open 24 hrs.

Close, the parts and service departments are open Mon - Thu until midnight. Regular hours on Friday and about a half day Saturday. This has made my life a lot easier. Not to mention, they're a great group of people to deal with. They've been super helpful when it'* come to my mods!
