If you read in the article, after the car got into the accident and the adjuster went to see it and it was lowered, they just didn't pay for it.
So you don't have to tell your company but you may want to find out "before" something happens if all the insurance you pay for will be there when you need it.

All insurance places ( much like governments) are eager to take your money.. but when it'* time to shell out. they'll think of any excuse they can to get out it ( just look at my scenario for instance )
Well.. reading the paper today in Toronto.. the Cabbies are gettin screwed by the insurance now too.. one example of a cabby who has been drivin taxi for over 15 years now and he'* insurance rate was bout $480 in 2000, then it went to 840 in 2001, then 1800 in 2002, and in 2003 he'* payin 3300, and the insurance have given him a notice that it will go up to 8400 by next year.. what the hell is that??

RepinS .. yea.. I heard that too bout that price.. that'* nuts.. you can buy another car in less then 2 years for that kinda payments..
On another note.. if that holds true.. does that mean insurance here can cancel too if you had a CAI ? After all.. it'* performance oriented and makes your car go faster.. and same with the exhaust? Grrr... they've gone too far
