it will be interesting to see how it stacks up to the new ZO6. And the ZO6 is less than half the price...

I don't think the GT is supposed to compete against the Vette. It'* supposed to blow away Ferarri and other supercar companies.

That'* what the corvette is supposed to do as well.

C6 z06 real specs

~2900lb curb weight (500lb advantage)
500 HP (50hp disadvantage)

SO about equal in acceleration, vette will be more balanced weight wise though. Both should trumph nearly any car to 60 (even enzo'*)

The GT is a GREAT car, and i'd love to have one, but the vette just does it for me more.

ooh, and its a Hemi. bonus...although the alternator sitting under the supercharger snout not only looks like a horrible place for it to be, but would be a PITA to replace.

I find it odd how all these faster cars are comming out when the economy is down.....well I guess in a world of SUVs,carsuvs, minivans, and suvcars, and economobiles, there is NOT that many "sports cars" being marketed anymore. It seems though the technology has been here for a few years it just has not been put to use and if it was it was undermarketed... Hopefully the prices will go down if most car companies start making big horsepower V8'* or what not. I would not mind buying a car in a couple years that would go to 60 in 3.3 seconds EVEN IF IT WAS FORD.

If you can afford a car thats 150k, I dont think you should be worried about replacing the alternator.
