I'm goin....
....to Amsterdam this summer! I just found out earlier this week that I've gotten chosen for an internship abroad with the help of a family friend:
While in Missouri last summer, the daughter of the family found out that I was studying International Business and offered to help me out at her company. She took a copy of my resume and I just found out Tuesday night that my resume is sitting with the president of her company. The company itself is relatively new at the internship abroad situation and I will be among the first to test it out. The internship itself is all-expenses paid. They pay for my flight there, my flight back, and I also get paid for the internship while I'm there for about 6-8 weeks. As far as I know, I'll be working in the IT department which is right up my alley seeing as how I'm very good working with computers.
The company isn't all clear on the details of rate of pay, dates of the internship, things of that matter, but I'll be updated as soon as this information is found out.
My dad'* been there for church functions and says I'll have a great time. I'm super excited and can't wait to hear just what I'll be doing and who I'll be working with. Finally, a swing in the right direction! [BEGIN EXCITEMENT]
