Idiot Ricers on the QEW
#11
5 people in an accord going 200kph
Hey Jim....how do you know your car can do 140.
....and with a full load most cars, even small ones ride much better at high speed because they sit lower to the ground.
I was young and fooling once......lucky to still be alive.
....and always wear a seat belt.

I have never gone 140 mph on the QEW...well 130 at 3:30am alone in a 4000lb car with tires that could handle those speeds. And I wasnt racing or swering or being an idiot on the road. It was the 404 * at 2:30am when I hit my 140mph mark
Regardless, it was a careless move that resulted in the loss of life.
And ya, the QEW is fast, but 140kph not 200kph at 11:30 pm

I've been to aprox 230kph in my 91... and to the gov limit 210kph in the 97.
Been there... done that... have the t-shirt...
I've really lost the urge to go +200kph..... on the highway/road at least.
I've done it once or twice in both cars... and I don't really feel like doing it anymore... too much risk. Not worth it.
If we had some tracks around here... that'd be another story

I'm from the east end of Toronto. Whenever I drive the QEW I barely feel safe at 100kph let alone 200kph. There'* something about that road and the DVP that brings out the worst in people.
Aside from that I have no problem with people driving fast at 3:00am with nobody on the road but when people race they are swerving and trying to pass which is where the problems start to happen. People get all caught up in the moment and don't realize no matter how many wings a car has it won't stick to the ground at 200.
