Totally unprofessional of the possible employer. If they cannot respect your choices right now, then they have some serious issues. I'd personally be appalled by that kind of reaction - you may not have taken the job, but whats stopping you from suggesting it to someone else down the road? That employer shot himself in the foot in more ways then one.
Could you imagine working with someone like that anyway?

He has a few points as other'* have mentioned, but as about EVERYONE mentioned, it was brought up the wrong way. Could've been constructive for sure, giving you advice.
What job was it? Something related to sales, or retail, with a lot of push?
