ok...honestly...all gp owners...and bonnie owners. is a 2000 GTP a pretty reliable beast? let me know. it wouldn't take much for me to turn one into the Petty style...the mod list is short and easy. let me know guys...i test-drove another TL last night. really liked it..but still feel a bit cramped in the cabin. i am definitely eyeing some GTP'*...but i know nothing about them. help me out oh wise men of the club!

i had a 99 GTP and really enjoyed it, and plan on having another in the near future but i want a 02-03 with onstar and the such, its not as loaded as the SSEi or quite as comfy, but i did enjoy driving it and the looks of it, and the reliability of it, cant wait to have another, but still keeping my bonne

My 97 GTP is just as nice inside as my old 95 SSE. Lots of the same features, just a tad smaller. You still can get the HUD, which is a huge plus for me.
They are just as reliable. I haven't had any major problems with my car, other than regular wear and tear (brakes, struts, etc.). The powertrains are basically the same so you know it will run for a long time.
They are fast, handle great, have plenty of storage space (big trunk), and are comfortable for long trips.
I love the stance and look of the 97-03 GP'*. Also, women I've met love my car ... big plus.

I dunno - perhaps it'* because it was a GT model, but the whole personality and flair of the GP is somewhat underwhelming. The chassis and suspension feel odd over bumps, and there are squeaks and rattles abound. Less refined than the '91, even.
Never rode in a TL, but I imagine that it'* a vehicle with much more class, refinement, and comfort...

The GTP have a "sporty" approach, it mean stiffer suspension, seat.
The dash look like the one in the sunfire. But thats what i was looking for when i bought my bonne, but they were hard to find , then i see my bonne.
Anyway, you will enjoy a GTP for sure, more powerful than the TL stock and easier to mod.
But wich TL are you talking about? year, manual/auto, Type-* or not ?

I have a Bonnie and a GTP, the Bonnie is much more comfortable and offers a better ride. My Bonneville is much more reliable than the GTP, but my dad bought the Bonnie new and took care of it. When I bought the GTP, the previous owner beat the hell out of it, but I got it for a good deal. It has given me nothing but problems, but I do like driving it.
I used to drive imports when they were very popular, and was also single. You could always get girls phone numbers, and they would come up to you. That has never happened in the Bonnie, but it does in the GTP
