Oh, I don't doubt for a minute that he'* used this for a ton of work, well beyond what it was designed for. We do that to hand tools here all the time and still can often repair them or have them replaced/repaired under warranty. Many companies will do that for their name, others don't.

Since it'* probably given more than it cost, you may want to bury it and get new, they aren't THAT expensive. If you do decide you want to repair it, try toolpartsdirect.com. They carry bunches of parts for many, many hand tools along with the exploded part views that are printable.

so I was bored, pissed, and frustrated tonight so I decided to rip appart the dremel and attack it with sand paper.

I cleaned up where the brushes rub against, cleaned out the random dirt/**** that was in it, blew out the switch with a can of compressed air I stole from the dorm next door.

boy it made my night to hear it fire up and spin smoothly....i wonder how long it will last though.

I put it back on lift support...hoped a ride to the local walmart super center....got 2 new brushes....seems to work like new again...

sure made my night.

Heck yes! That'* what my brother has, and he has used it to cut the ribbing out of several intake plenums, and is having no problems what-so-ever...
