Before I ditched my land-line, I used to act all agreeable with them, and then say, can you hang on for a minute?
Put 'em on hold. Leave 'em. Forget about it. When they hang up, my phone hangs up automatically.

Can anyone do a lookup on this number? Hans perhaps?

It comes up as "TOLL FREE SERVICES" on my caller ID.
They called THREE times today.
When I answered it the third time, it was NSDI which is a telemarketing company. Manager Alison Glass.

The real kicker being the "overdue notice pending" I did google this thing to death before I posted here... wasn't sure if someone had an alternate lookup registry.

the law actually only applys to people who are "selling" companies who call just to take a survey or anything not related to selling are exempt from the law
i've been taking surveys for almost a year now and i can't even count how many times people bring that up.

since the do not call list and some strategic changing of numbers, the only telemarketing we get now is comcast every once in a while trying to sell us their voip, makes me laugh when they say we can offer you unlimited everything for 39.99/mo how much do you pay a month currently? i say.....29.99/mo for unlimited everything lol.

I have pwned two lately.
First off.. really simple, If I don't know the number or person calling at my place..I don't answer it.
Second..when I do...OH BOY...
Around Christmas
I've seen this number pop up a bunch of times and no messages.
I answer it one night...Local police union.. tell them..thanks but I really don't have the funds to donate this year. "ok..thanks sir..have a good holiday"
Next night..another call from the number..I let it go, a second and third time..I let them roll
Next night..I think..this crap again and I nail it.
Explain I'm on the registry and I'm pretty pissed cause I've already told them I don't have any extra for them. Not only that..but they are calling so much I consider it harassment and I'm prepping to call them on themselves! Calls ended after that.
Since about Christmas..
Curran, D is calling me.. I don't know this person and they don't leave messages..hmmm???
I take it the other night.."yes sir..you entered our contest and have won a trip to blah blah." I explain I'm not interested and the person keeps going saying how could I give up such a great thing. "The cat doesn't like to fly" I say.. well I could take friends they say. Finally I'm done with this one and say "Listen..I've said no thanks..I'd appreciate you respecdting that". All is good..off the phone.
Next night..same number..I let it go being nice..they made a mistake..thatls all....right?
Next night..I grab it..Guy wants to know how I am tonight..(He'll never ask that one again)
Not only was I hollering at him..demanding my number be removed..how many times can they call with this scam and everything else..
