I FINALLY got a job!!!!
Can't wait to start. They just called me this afternoon -had dropped the resume off yesterday -didn't even call me in for an interview!!! :?
Don't know when I start, but they just called and told me not to take any other job offers.... said they'd get back to me by the end of this week and let me know when I'll start.
The new place of employment:
www.carloscreekwinery.com
Woot-Woot!!!!! I'm going out with a few friends this weekend to celebrate my new job.... haven't hardly worked since December 13, when I had my last day on the job with MP Nexlevel as a Fiber Optics Technician.
I am not sure what I'll all be doing but I'm sure there'll be a wide array of positions as they don't have many employees (under 20 IIRC) to take care of the whole place during the summer, except on weekends and close to 100 in September when they have their nationally reknowned Wine Stomping Festival and Lucille Ball look-alike contest.

Thanks all -Jim.....
Sorry- I never got to congratulate you on your new job -but I'll have a toast to you to this weekend..... -you might want to send me your shipping address -I still owe you a thank you for hosting/organizing the meet back in 2004. -Whoa -has it been that long already??? Just thinking I should send you a bottle of good times for the awesome experience I had in Toronto -the #1 city on my list of 'Must visit again' places.
Travis -atm moment I gonna have to say there is a 98% chance I won't be able to go. So many things need to be taken care of on my car so I can get it up for sale in order to buy the 2001, which is supposed to come up on the auction at the end of April (was supposed to be on the list this past Friday but it was moved back to late April, lucky for me).
Gumball -Not many grapes, mostly apples. I'll pick a few in your honor.
I should add that the manager of the place lived right across the street from my parents when I was growing up, and his son was one of my best friends growing up. He had been trying to get me to manage a restaurant his friend had a couple years ago, but I just wasn't quite experienced enough for that IMHO, but I feel with my time working over the past few years has taught me many things and I feel I would really like to take a job with a few more responsibilities and this may be a place for a good start on that given I have always gotten along with my old neighbor, his respect for me and my goals, which may lead to good oppertunities, both with this company and in my future endeavors.
I also feel very priviliged as a few of my friends who bartend in some of the nicest restaurants/nightclubs in the area have tried getting in there without success. Makes me really appreciate the offer, no matter what the duties are (unless it'* being the janitor). lol

Yay!! I hope you enjoy your new job! I had a job offer on the table but then my boss upped my pay plus bonus program so I declined the other job.
