i finally bought a house!
my house search is finally over, although i still need to sell my car to cut the bills down...
anyways, its actually a townouse in northfield mn, but its alot nicer than most of the townhouses in the area. its a rambler with a full basement (finished) that is right around 2300-2400 sq feet. (most are 1200-1600 around here) 2 car garage, and the deck overlooks a small pond with walking trails.
i got a really good deal on it because its a forclosure. but the wierd thing about it, is its in mint condition, better than all the lived in places i looked at. last year before it forclosed it was on the market for about a month for 190k, but i got it this year for 165k. a similiar rambler thats actually a little smaller (but 5 years newer, mines a 83) just sold for 198k. the only thing this place needs is a little updating like appliances, light fixtures and paint. but as it sits now its in good condition, it was just a elderly couple that owned it before, so they painted it ugly colors inside.
my closing is supposed to be september 1st....so i dont have any pics to share, but ill post when i move in, got to take some before and afters
oh, and the best part, i just went to bestbuy and bought a 65" mitsubishi tv for $1799, $70 rebate and 24 months no intrest......ive already got a huge 7.1 surround sound system with a 500watt rms jbl studio series sub...this will be the utimate bachelor pad

alero'* running fine, han't had any real problems with it in the year i had it, just want to cut down the bills. alero'* definatly quicker off the line, but not nearly as much on the highway.
