Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

I certainly don't deserve it.... but thank you!

You deserve it Ben! Have fun with it!

I'm not an active member on any other forums, but I don't feel I need to be to understand that this place is unique and incredible in the way our members come together.

I'm extremely honored to get a glimpse of how all this started. You guys and gals are incredible! Every time I come to this thread I am reminded of how many people helped both me and Hans, and I literally get goosebumps!

Slimpee - Reading this thread is a great way for you to find out what kind of club this is. The Bonneville might not be the coolest car in the world, but this website sure attracts people with great personalities and big hearts. Plus, there'* hardly a technical question they can't answer for you.

Hans - You expressed yourself every bit as well as I did. It'* not a contest, and the things you said were a perfect expression of what this club means to you. No more comparisons!

Ben, I wish I could have helped, but I was here in spirit reading the thread daily looking at the progress. I couldn't wait, and I checked the forum every hourish because I was so excited on the delivery day. Congrats and I know you deserve it.

Way to go guys!

(same goes for Hans)

Congratulations Ben, you deserve it.

Why? Your car is my idol, I'm not going to idolize a SSEi, uh-huh, ain't going to happen...so along came Ben with his 190 hp L36 with a cam, and all kinds of goodies. Now that'* the car I'm going to idolize.

you deserve it bud, btw if you ever come to Lancaster or Columbus, dinner is on me.

J/K "Big Ben"

There is no doubt that the B'ville ain't the car that catches the eye of the "typical" speed crazy, chest pounding, go-fast, testosterone laden, racerboys (and girls) flying around the city streets of America. And that is exactly why this club is different. As said many times, those that truly have come to enjoy the Bonneville seem to have a different personality and unique mentality ( ) that brings them together. Yes, a smaller group of enthusiasts than many other car clubs, but in most cases, a group with more passion (and compassion) than many clubs combined.

Having personally driven, Ben'* car...it is quite fun to drive. The pull is quite amazing, and it still has a lot more potential and this new trans will certainly help him continue to help develop information for our NAed brothers and sisters.

While in a total state of shock feeling "What did I do to deserve this?" and your fingers lay down th above quote......that'* the EXACT quality that drew everyone together. The selflessness shown in the past to help a fellow forum member. That'* what it'* all about. And I'll bet if you look back at the selfless acts of the past, you've already "Paid It Forward" many times.

Best wishes for many happy times to come.
