We saw it last night as well. I had tickets from friends that we had to use since they expired next week (we rarely spend the $$ to go to new releases). We thought it was very good, but agree it could have been better. I don't like horror movies (it was sort of billed as one in the preview online) but this I liked. I won't give it away either, but the preview on movies.com does tell you the premise of the movie. And if you go to the movies website the trailer there is different than the one I've see on TV and gives you more a clue of what it'* about. My wife said she was actually sort of sick when we left because it was so intense. The entire movie start to finish had the classic quiet, quiet, BAM sequences. Not even five minutes in a deer jumps over the Cobra out of nowhere. I though W Smith did a good job in this one. He added a bit of his standard humor, but he played the part well.
But my opinion, the beginning could have been shortened and add more to the abrupt ending. It seems like so many movies like this end so abruptly these days. I mean, how many minutes did they waste on the deer hunting scene at the beginning. Though I must say I did enjoy watching him cruise through the city in the Cobra.
