So are you guys actually going for a drive to inspect your potential new rides soon?
If I had that one close by, I would be there already!

If he lived closer we could go on a test drive party! lol
I just responded to the place selling the one I would love to have, I let them know I'd be a buyer at 6,500.00, but not a penny more, I made sure they new the KBB listed values, and that I know most likely the lower intake manifold gasket will need to be changed, it would be awesome if it has already been done, but I doubt it has...
I am waiting on the money really, once I get it I have a few priority things to take care of, then I'll see what is left, see if the job I am going to trty tog et falls into place, then if so that beauty will be mine.
It kind of feels wrong to want another though, my 96' has treated me well over the years, and I love driving it!

Not to worry William as soon as you are in the new ride, it won't feel wrong at all!
Lets face it, water leaks, suspension, transmission, pretty much dictates a new PA ride is in order for you.
And you deserve it !!
Then... You can sell the other one.

You have a point, I just worry that it will be a gamble, that 2004 could need all the work my car needs now, well minus the trunk and inside floorboards taking on water problem.
If I get it, since my current PA is a reliable ride atm, I'd probably just remove the plugs, spray a lil seafoam inside each hole to keep some lube on the pistons, then put a tarp over it, and keep it as a fall back ride in case of an emergency...

Ya subject to a quality shop inspection becomes a bargaining tool, as well as some piece of mind, to used vehicle purchasers.
Finding a lower mile ride may also be less risk as well.
Keeping your current PA is also not a bad idea, if you have room.

With these park aves tho u tend to notice certain things happening at certain mileage.. Like the need for a shiftkit between 140-160k...
Ive givin myself a rule wit these things.. When i buy them.. I sea foam then engine twice to get major gunk out.. Or get it loose.. Then take em apart and do new timing chain & cam/crank sensors, head gaskets due to swaping the intake gaskets i figure if already halfway there minus well its only an extra 40bucks or so... Ya kno? New alt, water pump, radiator.. Fresh tune up and the motor will run longer.. After tht, not much motor robs to worry about
