On the hunt for new wheels
Sold my PA to my brother so he wouldnt end up getting a beater and with the winter approaching i dont want him getting stranded.. So now im in the market for either a Buick Lucerne, Cadillac Awd sts with the v6, or a newer Park Ave Ultra.. Whats the better car? Im a Park Ave guy and probably end up with tht.. But i figure id check all options

I'm a fellow PA lover, so you know what gets my vote.
I was thinking of getting a second PA soon, but I am not sure if I'd be better off just putting more money into my current PA.
I was considering an Ultra like you, then SoftRide mentioned the higher gas prices, and maintenance, so if I do get another I'll most likely go naturally aspirated..
So a N/A newer than you had PA would be my suggestion.

Well that makes 3 of us that like the PA'*! The width & legroom & trunk space is fantastic!
What else is truly as safe & comfortable, that gets good hwy gas mileage now a days?

I was also thinking that 06-11 DTS as its said tht the head gasket problem was fixd in that model.. Havnt heard to many complaints about it.. My neighbor has had his 07 since new and said he hasnt had a HG prob at all.. And approaching 185k
I told em i never knew one to go tht long so its probaby coming lol
Could be tht many people dont actually put the care into it as he does..
Bt i was kinda thinking aslong as i could find one with the front bench seat tht was under 100k for the right price it could b worth it...
Bt then i started thinkn.. The PA rides like a caddy so y not just get another.. Plus i can rip tht 3800 apart and put it back together... Cant do tht with a N* lol

Caddies are so much more costly to work on though, main downside for me really.
I love my front bench seat, of course my armrest is always down, but still it is nice and roomy!
Hard to find one under 100k, I have only found 1-2 so far while looking, I found A 2004 PA Ultra with like 133k on it, it is Black and gorgeous, but has vinyl seats, I'd have to have a good cover out in the back, because my dogs go for rides with me a lot..
They want 7,900.00 for it though, and that is a bit steep for me atm..
The plus is I already know the 3800 II motor well, with or without a supercharger, so repairs on it will be done by me, and money will be saved, which sounds like a good reason for you to get another as well.

Agreed, Its so hard. The one i found is an ultra and has 173k on her for about $6,000 a bit to much but for how clean and well taken care off it is. I believe it had to have been ederly owned.
Also for a good ride in the rear on the PA using the lucerne/dts rear soft ride struts makes the rear so much more comfortable.

^ My favorite color too!!
Dealers always post wiggle room/higher price, expecting to drop it, anywhere from 1500 to 2k.
