HP COLOR laser printer - $199 at officemax
I just picked mine up...
$200 for a color laser printer with full cartridges.
Its cheaper to buy another one than it is to buy the toner for it. I'm tempted to buy another one and steal the toner and then trash it since the toner cost is over $300 lol.
HP 2600N is the model..it prints pretty good.... for an HP.
I think the deal is going on thru tomorrow...just thought I'd let anyone know who is in the market.

Full cartridges??? Really? As in not trial cartridges?
EDIT: My little evaluation as I think about getting one
+ $200 price rocks
+ 8 pages/min (not too bad really)
+ Ethernet 10/100Base-TX
+ 250-sheet multipurpose tray
+ 2000 prints per cartridge Color cartridges included
+ 2500 prints per cartridge B/W included
+ LCD with pushbuttons
- 16 MB (not expandable)
- $80-$85 per cartridge to replace with only 2000 page yield (but hey, cheaper to run than an inkjet and refilled carts would be cheaper than this!)
- ABYSMAL reviews. Apparently the printer "determines" that the cartridges are out of ink after 2000 pages and you have to replace all of them (apparently there'* an undocumented override for this)

We're not letting our Dell employment dictate our wording in our posts, are we?
For an HP? There'* a reason HP owns the printing market.

Compare the ratings to the price. When it comes to printing, the brand DOES matter.

Agreed. I have a DeskJet 3910, and I love it. For a $45.00 printer, it kicks *** in terms of print quality and PPMs. I've had Lexmarks, Canons, Epsons, you name it, and I have always chose my HPs over all of them.

Interesting to read the CNET reviews. Rated everything from stellar to abysmal by the users. I get a little nervous with that many negative reviews, but, hey for 200 bux, guess you can't lose

I think that they used to, but not any more. I'd like to introduce you to my HP OfficeJet 7310, a $400 all-in-one with drivers that crash that were an afterthought and embedded software that actually causes the printer itself to lock up.

I like my printer, it'* a 1210xi all in one, does great for the price I paid a few years ago.
I HATE the software and drivers however. I'm glad vista works it out of the box without the software. I don't need to have a 100+ MB installer and all sorts of Memories, and photo album apps when all I want is a printer and scanner driver.
But Hans, coming from a guy who'* got 2 dells of his own, and a few more in the family (not a fanboy, just how the cards fell) Dell printer'* aren't the best, afterall they use lexmark technology
