How I wasted my weekend...
Well, I'd like to say I spent it working on the '90 Bonnie, or getting plastered like some of our other members.
But, in fact, I spent it working on one of the projects the Bonneville'* mere existance made possible.
Here'* the play by play of stripping a LT1 V8 down to the bare block.

6:00am this morning..the block, crank, and pistons went to the machine shop in Holly Hill. Machinist thinks a 0.030 overbore is all it will take to clean the block up for reuse.
That delays major upgrade to the Bonneville for at least another two weeks. At least I can keep cleaning the gold off the crosslace rims.
