New Dell w/Pentium M 1.73Mhz, Gig memory - 3 minutes

Why does faster=slower?? Is it the hard drive size 5gig, 20gig, 80 gig respectively.
Or XP vs Win98?? Or the fact I give a ***^ about new one and bought Microcillin and Pest Trap?
Yeah I have a dell 9300 laptop Centino 1.86 ghz 1 Gig ram 256 Mb vid & 80gbhd takes about 90 seconds to boot :?:

My desktops specs blow that away and it takes about 3 minutes to boot. :?:
